Hi!
It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog post here (or anywhere else).
I used to post a lot when I was working on public facing features for Windows Server and the SMB file protocol. After that, I moved to the OneDrive team and worked on some internal stuff, continuing the trend of working on storage.
I have also worked on a few public OneDrive features like “OneDrive Files Restore”, “OneDrive Ransomware Protection” and “OneDrive Personal Vault”. If you’re not familiar with those, I posted some demos to YouTube:
- OneDrive Files Restore Demo
- OneDrive Ransomware Detection Demo
- Ransomware Protection with Windows Defender and OneDrive
- OneDrive Personal Vault
More recently, I moved to the Data team in the OneDrive and SharePoint group (ODSP). Here, I am focusing on the ODSP datasets for the Microsoft Graph Data Connect. If you’re interested in those, here are a couple of links:
I’ve been comfortable with Power BI, Azure SQL Server and Azure Blob Storage for a while, but working with the MGDC means learning how to use Azure Data Tools like Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse. Those are tools that I did not touch much before. It has been a good learning experience.
As I approach my 20th anniversary at Microsoft, I am planning to get back to blogging. Let’s see how this goes…
P.S.: My old blog posts from the Windows Server days are archived at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/josebda/, but I made a copy of them here so I can have the full history in one place.
